The Child Empowerment Nexus (CEN) program is an innovative poverty graduation initiative operating in Nairobi and the rural counties of Kiambu, Machakos, Makueni, Taita Taveta, and Kajiado. We aim to permanently lift households out of poverty by empowering children to reach their full potential through integrated approaches to education, sustainable livelihoods, and environmental stewardship, leveraging human-centered design and community-driven solutions.
Our Mission
To unlock the full potential of children in ultra-poor households across Nairobi and select rural counties by fostering a nexus of education, sustainable livelihoods, and environmental stewardship, empowering them to become confident, resilient, and innovative leaders of their own futures.
Our Vision
To ignite a generation of empowered Kenyan children who thrive as agents of positive change within thriving, equitable, and sustainable communities.
